Art and design come together in the new capsule collection beachwear collection by Genny Spadea that will be presented at the Milan Fashion & Jewels Fair Feb. 22-25 in Rho. Swimsuits and out-of-water garments, made as one-of-a-kind pieces, create an exclusive collection dedicated to an audience that loves luxury and art. The line, designed for men and women, draws inspiration from the paintings of contemporary artist Callen Schaub, whose works, characterized by abstract chromatics, have been transformed into unique graphic prints. In particular, the maxi painting “Osasuna” is distinguished by the unique technique with which it was created: the artist, suspended upside down and hooked to the ceiling, pours colors onto the canvas, then rotating it, generating a chromatic vortex. The result is an explosion of energy and dynamism.
One of the strengths of this collection is the exclusive use of silk, a natural and fine material that confers lightness and sophistication to every garment designed for leisure time such as kimonos, transparent silk shirts, and light dresses to be worn over swimwear, always with a luxury chic feel for a look that is perfect whether aboard a boat or on a summer evening. Swimsuits, on the other hand, for both women and men, are made of microfiber to ensure practicality without sacrificing style.

Callen Schaub’s colors can also be found in the Capsule Collection of jewelry inspired by Neapolitan craftsmanship that will be presented during the Fashion & Jewels Fair along with the macramé jewelry made for the Liberty collection. In fact, the colors of cornets and amulets from the Neapolitan tradition recall the vibrant hues of the beachwear collection, creating a harmonious link between tradition and contemporaneity in a proposal that expresses the dialogue between craftsmanship, design and creativity, designed for those looking for unique and meaningful accessories. A charismatic line of necklaces, bracelets and key rings with beaded applications and colorful cornets, all made in collaboration with macramé artisan Fulvia Covelli.
“Last October, during a visit to the nativity markets in Naples, the inspiration for this new capsule collection was born,” says Genny Spadea. “The meeting with local artisans, who specialize in the creation of hand-painted cornets and amulets, gave birth to a unique project”.  Project that enhances the vibrant colors of the Canadian artist thus celebrating an encounter between art, design and tradition and transforming each garment and accessory into an expression of creativity destined to last.
